Terms of sale and license

You pay once, in US dollars, through Stripe's secure checkout.
Your license is for you, on up to 3 of your own devices.
Every version 1 update is included.
If it isn't right for you, you get a full refund within 14 days.

1. Who we are

Alla Prima Primer is made and sold by T. Zimmer (“we” and “us” on this page). These terms apply when you buy or use Alla Prima Primer: the app at allaprimaprimer.app, its User Guide and its updates. You can reach us at info@allaprimaprimer.com.

2. Buying

Orders are processed by Stripe through its Managed Payments service. Link, Stripe's checkout service, is the merchant of record for all our orders: it takes your payment, adds any sales tax or VAT, sends your receipt and helps with payment questions. Link's terms for purchases sold through Link also apply.

Prices are in US dollars, and checkout may show them in your own currency. Your license key appears on the thank-you page right after you pay, and arrives by email.

3. Your license

When you buy, you get a personal license to use Alla Prima Primer:

for yourself, on up to 3 devices that you own or use;
for your own painting and study, and to show the app while you teach or demonstrate.

Each student who uses the app on their own device needs their own license. Please don't share your license key, sell it or give it away, post it online, or copy the app to get around the license. If a key is shared publicly, we may switch it off.

4. Devices

The app activates on a device the first time you enter your key, which needs an internet connection. After that it works offline. To move your license to a new device, remove an old device in the app, or write to us and we'll free up a place.

5. Updates

Every update to version 1 is included at no extra cost. Updates may improve or change how features work. If we release a new major version in the future and sell it separately, your version 1 keeps working, and you choose whether to buy the new one.

6. Your photos and paintings

Your photos and paintings stay yours. The app works on them on your device, and we never receive them. The privacy policy has the details.

7. Mixing recipes and other suggestions

The app's mixing recipes, value readings and other suggestions are modeled from photos, so treat them as starting points. Results depend on your paints, your light and your camera. Always judge the final mix by eye.

8. Our work

The app, its design, the User Guide and this website belong to T. Zimmer and are protected by copyright. Please don't copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute them, except where the law allows it.

9. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying. See the refund policy.

10. No guarantees beyond the law

We work hard to make the app reliable, but it is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law requires. We can't promise that it will be free of errors or that it will work on every device and browser.

11. Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, our total liability for any claim about Alla Prima Primer is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, and the date at the top shows the latest version. The terms that applied when you bought still apply to that purchase, unless you agree to the new ones.
